The fun starts with the tugs cruising down the Hudson River in a Parade of tugs at 10 AM. The races start at 10:30 AM from Pier 79 South to Pier 84. The Spectator boat is on the river before the parade starts, so you won’t miss a moment of the action!

Feats of strength follow the feats of speed. Nose-to-nose pushing contests and line-toss competition commence at 11 AM.

At noon, the tugs dock and tie up to Pier 84 for lunch, exhibits & tug art and even more competitions like the famous Spinach-eating contest – bring your wet-wipes, it’s always a big ol’ mess of fun!

Around 1 PM, once the race results are tallied, we wrap up the fun with the Trophy Awards Ceremony.
