One of my ship-spotting pleasures is a walk over the Bayonne Bridge. I’ve always considered it a Poor Man’s Helicopter… aerial photography with your feet on the ground (well sort of). Tugboats, Container ships, etc. passing right under you, BUT, no more.

Two weeks ago the walkway shut down for a couple of years, due to the raising of the Bridge. 2015, 2016? Who knows. On the bright side, when the project is completed there will be a twelve-foot wide walkway. So, this week’s entry is photos from recent walks over the bridge.

Hope to see everyone this Sunday at the Tugboat Races.

Until next week… John Skelson
