We watched them race on Sunday, here they are in their work clothes.

McAllister’s Resolute took 1st place, here she is sailing into the golden sunset on the Kill Van Kull. Miller’s Launch tugs Freddie K, Susan, and Catherine C are also here as are Vane Red Hook, Hunting Creek, and cousin Peter F Gellatly.

Good weather forecast for the next week should make for lots of photos; I can’t wait to get out there. Hope to see you on the September 10 Newark Bay Hidden Harbor Tour that leaves from Pier 16, South Street Seaport at 5:30 p.m. I’ll be on the bow, stop by and say hello!

[Editor Note: We will be featuring more race footage and images of the Tugboat Race and Competitions from our talented and generous friends and fans of the Working Harbor tomorrow! (Hint: From Will, Christina, Vlad, Johna, Mitch and Hal) Stay tuned for official race times too!]
