Don’t miss our Hidden Harbor Tour of Port Newark this Saturday!

Ed Kelly, President, Maritime Association of Port of NY/NJ and Capt Maggie Flanagan, Marine Educator, South Street Seaport Museum will be our Special Guest Speakers, hosted by our own (newly wed!) Executive Director, Capt John Dowsell.

Go behind the scenes of our bustling, working waterfront.

See close up, giant container terminals at work, dozens of huge cranes loading and unloading container ships from around the globe. Get an insider’s view of how the working harbor really works and learn about what all those ships and tugs do.

And it’s not just tugs and terminals our there on our glittering harbor. You’ll see lighthouses, bridges, industry, modern and historical infrastructure and if we’re really lucky… we might even see one of NY’s frequent visitors, this summer, a humpback whale!
