Come celebrate National Maritime Day with the United States Merchant Marine Academy Alumni – Friday, 20 May, 2016!

Gathering at the American Merchant Mariners’ Memorial in Battery Park at 11:30a.m., there will be a memorial service will be held at monument, followed by a luncheon at historic Pier A.

On May 20, 1933, the United States Congress declared May 22nd. National Maritime Day in recognition of the service and contributions of merchant mariners and the maritime industry. It is a time-honored tradition that recognizes one of our nation’s most important industries.
