The NYCEDC has released renderings of the new ferry landings that are being manufactured for the launch of Citywide Ferry services starting in 2017.

Designed by McLaren Engineering Group and built by Skanska, the 10 new landings will be made to fit the different conditions faced by each location around the city.

NYCEDC Press ReleaseFerry landings will be 35 feet wide and 90 feet long, providing ample space for passengers to queue while waiting to board a vessel. When fully complete, the landings will be equipped with canopies and wind screens to provide shelter from inclement weather. Ticket machines and waiting areas will also be located on the barges, allowing for minimal upland impact at the landing sites.
