Executives with Applied Weather Technology testified Wednesday at the 2nd round of hearings investigating the loss of El Faro during Hurricane Joaquin last October, that the ship may have received outdated weather reports which contributed to the loss of the vessel and her 33 crewmen.

WJAX: “The underlining model data was up-to-date,” said Rich Brown, vice president of operations for AWT. “The winds, the waves, the pressure were all up-to-date. The storm track was out-of-date.”
