Come Tugboat Race day, I seldom (read: never) have time to take photos of the event and I like many of you, look forward to seeing all the photos from all our water-folk friends and family.

Our good friend Vladimir Brezina of Wind Against Current was on the Spectator Boat with more than 400 Tugboat Race enthusiasts (and me!), racing on the North River right alongside the tugs who churned up the Hudson with their might.

He has generously has shared some of his gorgeous captures of the day with us. Thanks Vlad!

Being based down river, it’s a rare opportunity for me to see tugboats working the upper North River. Confession time… I have never even been (on land) to the Walkway over the Hudson!

Lucky for me – friend of the WHC Glenn Raymo – has busy with his trusty camera and posting his gorgeous photos online. So I thought I would share with you some of Glenn’s photos that can be found on his facebook group: Tugs On the Hudson River.

Thank You Glenn for sharing!
