Royal Caribbean will soon homeport 2 cruise ships at Cape Liberty cruise terminal in Bayonne, N.J. Anthem of the Seas which already calls New Jersey home, will be joined by sister ship Rhapsody of the Seas starting in 2017.

Royal Caribbean Press Release: Royal Caribbean will offer expanded Caribbean itineraries from the Northeast in 2017, with Rhapsody of the Seas joining Anthem of the Seas in Cape Liberty, New Jersey. This will be the first time that two Royal Caribbean ships will be sailing from Cape Liberty, offering guests in the New York area even more ways to explore the award-winning cruise line.

2,040-passenger Rhapsody of the Seas will sail to the Bahamas all summer while Anthem of the Seas will sail to Bermuda in the summer, to New England and Canada in the fall months, and to the Caribbean year-round. Read more from Royal Caribbean here…

Remember Boaty McBoatface? Well, although the UK’s Natural Environment Research Council might be a tad reluctant about going with the popular name, Royal Caribbean wants the guy who came up with it to name one of their new cruise ships.

USA TodayCruise giant Royal Caribbean is asking the British wisecracker who famously suggested the name Boaty McBoatface for a new research vessel to help the line name one of its next ships, too.

Royal Caribbean tells USA TODAY it has invited James Hand, 26, of the UK’s West Midlands to sail on its newest and biggest vessel, Harmony of the Seas, when it debuts in May. In what is either guerrilla marketing at its best or a disaster in the making, he’ll then meet with the line’s ship naming team to brainstorm a name for a coming vessel. Read more from USA Today here…
